If you decide that Yeeld is no longer right for you, you can request account closure directly within the app.
Before starting the process, it's important to understand what needs to be completed before your account can be closed successfully.
Step 1: Navigate to Account Closure
To begin:
This will launch the account closure process.
Step 2: Ensure Your Yeeld Balances Are Zero
Before an account can be closed, all Yeeld-managed products must have a zero balance.
This includes:
Any funds held within these products must be withdrawn before account closure can proceed.
Connected third-party bank accounts do not need to have a zero balance.
These accounts remain with your existing bank and are simply connected to Yeeld through Open Banking.
If you are a Yeeld Connect user and have not opened a Yeeld account, investment account, or other Yeeld financial product, these balance requirements do not apply to you.
Your cashback wallet does not need to have a zero balance before you close your account.
However, any unclaimed or unwithdrawn Yeeld Coins remaining in your cashback wallet at the point of account closure will be permanently forfeited.
We therefore recommend withdrawing any available cashback rewards before submitting your account closure request.
Once your account has been closed, forfeited cashback rewards cannot be reinstated or recovered.
Step 3: Wait for Any Pending Activity to Complete
Your account cannot be closed while certain activities are still in progress.
Examples include:
If any of these exist, you'll need to wait until they have completed before proceeding with account closure.
Step 4: Download Any Documents You Wish to Keep
Before closing your account, we recommend downloading any documents you wish to keep for your records.
These can be found in the My Documents section of the app and may include:
Once your account is closed, access to the app will end.
Step 5: Tell Us Why You're Leaving
We'll ask you to provide a reason for closing your account.
You can:
Your feedback helps us improve Yeeld and better understand our users' experiences.
Step 6: Confirm Account Closure
To protect your account from unauthorised closure requests, you'll be required to complete a security verification.
This may include:
Once completed, select Confirm Closure.
We Recommend Disconnecting Your Connected Accounts
If you have connected third-party bank accounts to Yeeld, we recommend disconnecting them before closing your account.
Disconnecting an account immediately stops Yeeld from receiving new transaction and balance data from that account.
This step is optional and is not required for account closure.
If you choose not to disconnect your connected accounts manually, the Open Banking consent will naturally expire and the connection will automatically terminate after the regulatory consent period ends.
What Happens to My Data?
Protecting your privacy is extremely important to us.
When you disconnect a connected account or close your Yeeld account:
This means the remaining information can no longer be linked back to you as an identifiable individual.

We never retain more information than required and always process data in accordance with applicable data protection and financial services regulations.
Important: Account Closure Is Permanent
Closing your account is irreversible.
Once your closure request has been confirmed:
If you wish to use Yeeld again in the future, you may need to complete a new application and onboarding process.
