I Don’t Have a Government-Issued Photo ID. Can I Still Open an Account?

What’s required to access Yeeld and when ID is needed

You don’t need a government-issued photo ID to start using Yeeld Connect.

You can create a Yeeld account and link your existing bank account using just your name, mobile number, and email address. This gives you access to powerful insights into your spending, bills, and habits using open banking technology.

However, to unlock the full Yeeld experience — including opening a GBP currency wallet, using a Yeeld card, and accessing investing or premium features — we will need to verify your identity with a government-issued photo ID. This is part of our KYC (Know Your Customer) process and helps us meet regulatory requirements and keep your account secure.

Acceptable documents include:

Passport
UK or EU Driving Licence
National ID Card

We can’t accept documents like birth certificates, citizen cards, or student IDs for this purpose.
