Why Do I Need to Verify My Identity?

You only need to verify your identity to unlock Yeeld’s financial services like accounts, cards, and investments—basic features can be used without KYC

Identity verification depends on how you use Yeeld.

If you’re using a Yeeld Connect account, you do not need to verify your identity. This free account allows you to:

Connect your existing bank accounts
View spending insights and analytics
Communicate with the AI assistant
Earn cashback and access basic features

You can get started with just:

A verified email address
A verified phone number
Connected third-party bank accounts

No identity verification (KYC) is required for this level of access.

If you upgrade to a Yeeld Companion subscription, identity verification becomes necessary.

This is because you gain access to regulated financial services, including:

Opening a Yeeld account
Receiving a Yeeld Visa card
Sending and receiving money
Opening ISAs, pensions, and investment accounts
Accessing additional financial products

By law, these services require us to verify your identity through a digital KYC (Know Your Customer) process.
